Excerpt from the Book
PRAISES — Majesty of Your Name
To the choirmaster. On the gittith. A psalm. Of David.
YHWH, our Adon, how majestic is your name through all the earth,
whose magnificence is given to the heavens!
From the mouths of infants and sucklings you found strength against your oppressors, so that the enemy who avenges may cease.
Yes, I see your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon, the stars that you have set firm.
What is man, that you remember him?
The son of the human, that you attend to him?
Yet you make him lack but little of being an Elohim.
You crown him with glory and magnificence,
and make him govern the work of your hands.
YHWH, our Adon, how majestic is your name through all the earth!
